On his return from New York in 1979, Patrick Combes took over VIEL & Cie, gradually transforming the Company through organic and acquisition-led growth, first in France and then on the international level, into a global player in the world’s financial markets. In 1996, when VIEL & Cie took control of Compagnie Financière Tradition S.A., he became Chairman of the Board of Directors. He is a Knight of the Legion of Honour.
